Below is the letter of intent that all players and parents need to read before registering for the All Stars team.
Players and Parents,
In order to prepare for our 2025 All-Star Season, we would like to identify all eligible players who are interested in participating in All-Stars and understand the time commitment. ALL players must complete the following information and submit your registration by MAY 18. The District All-Star Tournament starts June 20 and runs each day until the championship round or when team is eliminated after losing two games. Please understand that registering for the season, does not assure your child a place on the All-Star team. Further, selection to an All-Star team is a new process each year. Previous selection to an All-Star team does not ensure selection in each successive year.
The Dixie All-Star process requires your FULL COMMITMENT. We need to make sure you are available for all scheduled games and practices.
Timeline & Time Commitment:
Beginning June, 2025, I commit to being at at least 75% of team practices and all scheduled scrimmages and/or games. Only excused absences are allowed during the practice period. We are to not schedule vacation or other activities that will interfere with our child’s ability to attend practices and games during the full All-Star period as noted below. All-Star Tournaments are double elimination.
Form Requirements:
DYB requires all players to provided a signed copy of their player’s birth certificate and a medical release (MDY provides). Each will need to be signed at the team’s first practice or All Stars parent meeting (if time permits to be held).
***Please note that if you do not submit the correct forms as required by Dixie Youth you will not be able to play.
Personal Conduct:
If selected, I promise to support my team by playing at my best at all times and by always being positive and respectful towards my teammates and alternatives. I will respect the coaches, umpires, fans and the opposing teams at all times. I understand that collectively we will strive to represent our league in the best way we can through our personal behavior and team effort.
Playing Time:
I understand that I may be asked to play in different positions than I played during the regular season. I understand that minimum playing time for a 12-player team is 1 at bat and 1 inning (3 outs) of defense.
