Registration is now OPEN Online for the fall baseball season for ages 5-15 (Age as of May 1, 2024). Season begins with practices the week of August 21, games beginning after Labor Day and will run through Early October.

You are invited to attend Motley Dixie Youth Night at the Ballpark on Saturday, May 20th at the Lynchburg Hillcats game! Come out to the game and enjoy free tickets for youth league players who wear their jerseys, a ticket fundraiser for the parents/families, a pre-game parade, appearances from Star Wars characters (Star Wars Night), and post game fireworks!

First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 PM, gates will open at 5:30 PM!

The 2023 Opening Day Schedule is now available! All players ages 7-12, will participate in the Opening Ceremony at 12:15 and need to arrive by 11:45am.

Note: AAA players will participate in the Opening Ceremony on Saturday April 15, but will have their first game on Monday, April 17 with a short ceremony before the first pitch.

Player Evaluations

Due to the forecast for the next few days, we have decided to move the AA Coach Pitch (ages 7-8) and AAA (Ages 9-10) to Sunday, March 5 to ensure the field is ready.

A few things to remember for Evaluations:

• Please make sure to arrive 15 minutes early to check in for your player’s session.
• All players will be placed on a team. Evaluations are to ensure that teams are even for the season and give a chance for players to get a quick practice.
• Players need to be dressed as they would for practice. All players will need to have their own glove. We will have a couple of extra bats and helmets for any players that need them.
• Sessions will last approximately 1 hour.
• Times are listed below:
  • AA Coach Pitch (Ages 7-8)
    • Last Names A-L – 1:30pm
    • Last Names M-Z – 2:30pm
  • AAA (Ages 9-10) – 3:45pm
  • OZONE (Ages 11-12) – 5:00pm

Preseason Parent Meeting & Meet Your Team

We will be holding our Preseason Parent Meetings and Meet Your Team on Saturday, March 11 at the times below. This meeting helps us relay important information about the upcoming spring season and gives you a chance to see how you can help our organization.

Parent Meeting Times:

• 11:00am – AA Coach Pitch (Ages 7-8)
• 12:30pm – AAA (Ages 9-10) and OZONE (Ages 11-12)

Be sure to bring your player so that they can meet their coach and teammates for the season. Coaches will have a short informational team meeting at the end of the meeting.

Registration for the 2023 Spring Baseball Season is OPEN until 3/1/23! This Spring ALL DIVISIONS can register either ONLINE or IN-PERSON.

We are excited about the upcoming spring season for our area youth! Our program along with the Altavista YMCA provides every child ages 4-15 the opportunity to learn and play baseball in a fun and safe atmosphere!

Spring 2023 Fees (Division Determined by Player’s Age on May 1, 2023):

• $55 – T-BALL, AA, AAA (AGES 4-10) Y Members/Town Residents
• $65 – T-BALL, AA, AAA (AGES 4-10) Non -Y Members
• $75 – OZONE (AGES 11-12)
